InMobi has announced that Ravi Krishnaswamy is set to join the company as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Krishnaswamy has been appointed by the firm largely due to his 20 years of industry experience. Ravi worked at Microsoft for almost two decades, during which time he played a significant role in the development of the company’s next generation cloud OS platform, acting as the leader of the Azure teams at Microsoft IDC.

In addition, he most recently stood as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, responsible for leading the ecommerce startup’s infrastructure and platforms group.

“We are delighted to onboard Ravi into this role,” said Mohit Saxena, Co-founder and current CTO of the company. “His vast experience in leading large-scale global teams and advanced internet start-up teams will be indispensable as he takes over the reigns as InMobi’s new CTO,

“We are pleased to welcome Ravi to the InMobi leadership team,” said Naveen Tewari, Found and CEO of InMobi. “His breadth of experience across the mobile industry, the startup ecosystem and his expertise as a technology leader is a successful combination in driving our technology portfolio.”

Krishnaswamy will now lead the technology strategy of the world’s largest independent mobile advertising platform, with its agenda looking towards the incorporation of both AI and big data.
